• New Bathroom

I’ve been having a renovation in my bathroom during the last month or so. I really like how it turned out! Very modern and minimalistic, just my taste. We painted the walls and floor, and switched the furniture, shower and bits and bobs. I specifically love the sink, and the glass walls.

The apartment I live in belonged to my grandma, so a renovation was definitely in place.

  • Mosaic Course

So, I attended a mosaic course here in Lovisa! It was so much fun! I am quite passionate about expressing myself in various sorts, and I love everything about crafting. I love doing everything from clay work, sewing, scrapbooking, painting, drawing, to doing pieces of jewelry. This time I attended a one weekend long mosaic course. I got to finish two main works I had in mind.

    My workspace

This Sarpaneva piece I decorated with glass mosaic. Beforehand, I had to convince my dad to let me use this glass piece as a base. I think it turned out good though!

We are currently renovating our bathroom, and this piece I will hang up in the updated space.

  • Sunny waffles

We had the best waffles ever at Lovisa plagens beach bar this last weekend. If you’re around, you should definently go and get one. They have many different kinds of waffles, everything from sweet to salty. We had the regular one with strawberry jam, and the other with liquorise sauce. Next time we’re gonna try the salted caramel one.

  • Photo Exhibition

It’s official! My very second photo exhibition is now up at my local cafe. it will last the whole month of April. There are 11 new prints of dolls, and a total of 6 new postcards.

  • I turned 31

One year has indeed again went by, which means I turned 31. I once again had a good birthday. Last Thursday we went out for supper and enjoyed a pan pizza. It’s funny, because I haven’t had a pan pizza in literally 20 years. I remember “kotipizza” had these yummy pan pizzas when I was a kid, and our family ordered pan pizzas home every now and then. We then found out that Rosso in Porvoo offer these kinds of pizzas! After this, we went to Timanttiset, and I got to choose a piece of jewelry. This I will show you later!

On Friday I was like any other birthday, In Helsinki for some shopping with my best friend. I can proudly admit, that I stayed in my budget! I bought a pair of new black nike pants, a west, and also a black hoodie from footlight, which I already have in white that I love. The only impulsive buy was these lovely pink fluffy sandals also from Footlight. Maybe I put a picture of these also later!

During the weekend we had some princess cake and just took it easy. Here under I will insert some pictures!!

I got these beautiful flowers for my birthday, and also a lot of my favorite candy, Lumi Panther. You can also see that I decorated for easter.

Here is the flowers in closeup.

    The delicious pan pizza!

  • New nails (again)

It’s that time of the month again! NEW NAILS!! I really love these ones, maybe might be my favorite nails this far. Next month I have an appointment again, but this time I also made time for a makeup session. The person I go to, offer a lot of different services regarding to cosmetology. In April I booked myself a make up lesson with the nails. It’s gonna be interesting! Stay tuned.

  • Flowers and marshmallows

March 8, we celebrated women’s day with flowers and marshmallows. It was a gorgeous weather, spring is definently on its way. Spring happens to be my favorite season. I love the early signs of birds singing, even the gull – which I know so many people dislike, haha. The days are also getting longer, and the sun is shining thru more than usual. One thing I am really looking forward to is taking out my bicycle, now when the god damn snow is disappearing. Also, my birthday is in 12 days, and I am heading to Helsinki as usual for some shopping. Very soon, we can lose our wintery jackets, and just go out of the door wearing a hoodie, that is something I really treasure!

Since we’re talking about spring, easter is also on its way. Myself I love easter, but I can admit I am a festive person overall. Very soon I will start decorating for easter!

Anyway, hope you all had a pleasant women’s day, and let’s welcome easter as the next thing.

  • Happy valentines day

Yesterday, Saturday – was valentines day. I had a very good day. Really grateful in fact for the whole weekend, just taking it easy. My weekend included playing cards, watching Harry Potter on dvd, and eating some Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, I also visited my father to eat some cake. I hope that everyone else had a good weekend as well, and that ya’ll also had the opportunity to maybe eat some chocolate.

  • Studio Photography

So, I’ve attended a studio photography course, and yesterday was our second session. I really love photography, and would like to improve in this very subject.

I got my first camera as a 5 year old. This was an old school camera that came with a candy bag, which I bought with my own pocket money at a cruise to Stockholm. I think the limit was 10 photos with this particular little thing. My first digital camera I bought just before our trip to Paris, and I used the heck out of this device. My very first system camera was a white Sony, this I bought with the money from my first summer job at 16. The one I have now though, is a Nikon Z-50, and I really love this camera. In conclusion, I really love the art of photography. I mainly like portrait or studio photography, but I would be open and very interested in shooting events.
