My Fiancé and I went out to eat at Amarillo in Porvoo. We enjoyed some burgers, with some HUGE glasses of Coca Cola. I ate the Hot honey burger, and he ordered the regular one. Afterwards – we actually managed to eat some dessert, that was cheesecake and churros. I never experienced churros prior to this moment, and they were rather delicious, though very quite “heavy”.
We celebrated Lovisa day 25 of August.
I am really proud that Lovisa happens to be my hometown. I’ve lived here my whole life – and this town has given me the best childhood I could ever imagine. I would describe Lovisa as a little, warm, beautiful, and calm city. We don’t have everything here, but enough. Let’s think! We have restaurants, several beautiful cafererias, including the ranked winner, Tuhannen Tuskan kahvila. Myself, I am a sucker for Café Favorit – which I happen to be sitting in right now as I type this blog post. We have a beautiful beach, with several tennis courts. We have a little cosy library, many many parks and a lot of beautiful old houses. A lot of happenings are arranged in this town, and you can take a part of a lot of culture here. We have some cute small boutiques, a quite big secondhand store, and also a hight ranked book store, also some several other shops.
Lovisa city offers a lot of hobbies for both children and adults, and Kansalaisopisto has a whole catalog with options you can choose from.
One thing I find nice about Lovisa, is that we say hi to each other while passing by in town, since you see many familiar faces here while outdoors. While taking a walk in Lovisa, you can choose from going into the forest and experience nature, or – you can choose to walk by the sea. Either way, Lovisa offers beautiful views.
I wanted to share my gratitude for this town, since I am actually moving city. My ways goes now to Porvoo. I am moving into a 2 bedroom apartment in Porvoo with my fiancé in November. Despite of this, I will visit Lovisa regularly, to meet with family and friends.

I’ve been doing my nails since the beginning of this year. I’ve tried loads and loads of different styles, but these might be my favorite nails this far. It’s funny, how such a little thing as doing your nails professionally can make such a difference in your overall mood. I’ve been doing my nails by myself my entire life prior, and I never got this kind of result. Gel nails also stay better, and doesn’t get ruined immediately. I know you can of course do gel nails at home but with a little equipment and training. One of my best friends actually do hers from home, with of course is a lot more affordable, since gel nails done professionally is quite expensive.
16.07.2026 I officially got engaged with my bf for several years. As we both adore Harry Potter, he proposed with a golden snitch ringbox with the ring inside. My ring is made out of rose gold, and my now fiancees ring also has a line of rose gold in the middle to match.
As if this news are not enough, I also begin my holiday today. Now it is only matter of weeks before all my hobbies start. I really missed ballet , and I will of course continue my classes in fall. I am also interested in looking into a new course, that is silver jewelry making! Me and my friend are also willing to try an interior course, since I will most likely move house before next christmas.

I’ve been doing my nails since the beginning of this year. I have shown you many variations, but not all. This time I think these in particular are my favorite.
I’m on my own journey towards minimalism. I started decluttering about 2 years ago, and since then I’ve got rid of loads. Decluttering is really a process, and I’m not by far done yet. I’ve been listening to perhaps tens and tens of decluttering videos, minimalism and frugal living content. I’ve comprehended a lot of different ways of decuttering, and I’ve binge read all of Marie Kondos books. I’ve tried lots of different metods regarding to getting rid of things. The Marie Kondo way, is the known way of holding an object in your hands, if it doesn’t spark joy – then it’s up for decluttering. Also, there are lots of other tricks, for instance – if the object is not a “Hell yes!” then it’s a no. You can also put things you’re unsure of in a time box for a while, and see if you really miss the objects in question. You can ask yourself, would you purchase this item again if it got destroyed. If the answer is no, then let it go.
My dream home, is a home where you have limited, but nice things around you. A place where you can relax, and not be bothered by loads of junk. A place with “Feng shui” in place.
I do not think I mentioned this, but I will move to Porvoo in the near future. Therefore I want to bring only the things I like to my new home.

We tried new waffles at the beach! And the iced latte is absolutely stunning! We usually go on a walk trough the forest and end up here halfway back.
I’ve been having a renovation in my bathroom during the last month or so. I really like how it turned out! Very modern and minimalistic, just my taste. We painted the walls and floor, and switched the furniture, shower and bits and bobs. I specifically love the sink, and the glass walls.
The apartment I live in belonged to my grandma, so a renovation was definitely in place.
So, I attended a mosaic course here in Lovisa! It was so much fun! I am quite passionate about expressing myself in various sorts, and I love everything about crafting. I love doing everything from clay work, sewing, scrapbooking, painting, drawing, to doing pieces of jewelry. This time I attended a one weekend long mosaic course. I got to finish two main works I had in mind.

This Sarpaneva piece I decorated with glass mosaic. Beforehand, I had to convince my dad to let me use this glass piece as a base. I think it turned out good though!
We are currently renovating our bathroom, and this piece I will hang up in the updated space.
We had the best waffles ever at Lovisa plagens beach bar this last weekend. If you’re around, you should definently go and get one. They have many different kinds of waffles, everything from sweet to salty. We had the regular one with strawberry jam, and the other with liquorise sauce. Next time we’re gonna try the salted caramel one.
